Television Essay
Tato audiovizuální esej představuje a zkoumá horizontální a vertikální perspektivu vnímání televize, kterou chápe jako intertextuální médium, jehož konečný význam vzniká v kontextu diváka vnímatele. Horizontální perspektiva bádá nad postupem zpracování a vyhodnocování minulých, a možných budoucích, událostí pořadu, pracujících s návaznou serialitou v měřítku jednotlivých scén a epizod. Vertikální rovina zkoumá nově nabyté intermediální vztahy v digitálním prostoru, kde televize ztrácí svojí definici skrze fyzickou veličinu. Tato esej spojuje oddělované formy fikčních a nonfikčních pořadů. Přemýšlí nad televizí, jako nad neutichajícím tokem pracujícím s různými formami seriality, jako fikčním univerzem vytvářejícím možné a nemožné vztahy a potřeby vymezené jednotlivými pořady či jejich kontextem recepce.
This audiovisual essay presents and explores a horizontal and vertical perspective on the perception of television, which it understands as an intertextual medium whose ultimate meaning is created in the context of the viewer-perceiver. The horizontal perspective investigates the process of processing and evaluating past, and possible future, events of the show, working with subsequent seriality on the scale of individual scenes and episodes. The vertical plane explores the newly acquired intermedial relations in the digital space, where television loses its definition through physical quantity. This essay connects the separate forms of fiction and non-fiction shows. The video thinks about television as an unceasing flow working with various forms of seriality, as a fictional universe creating possible and impossible relationships and needs defined by individual programs or their reception context.
